I will try once more. I have aNavman 510. Usinfg the appropriate download instructionsfrom Pocket gps,I downloaded the 4 progs onto the device. However I have discovered that when I shut the device down using the off switch at the back the programms are deleted.
Nowhere can I find any instructions to prevent this happening.
I have been persuing this problem since 6th June through the forum system with no success, so would appreciate some advice evn if it is throw the bloody thing in the river _________________ old fart |

Which four progs are these? You should use the On/Off button on the front of the unit to turn it on and off. _________________ Tim |

Hi Tim. firstly the recommendation by navman is to turnit off at the back if it is not being used for some time as it drains the battery.
Secondly the four progs are:-
Pocket gp.bm
.chk
.ini
.map
In explore mode they show as separate items and do not appear in pois or my pois.
hope this helps _________________ old fart |

OK, turning off at the back 'resets' the unit and, I believe, deletes all user information. Does your 'Home' position also disappear? _________________ Tim |

Have you set your 'Home' location? i.e. do you get the option to navigate to 'Home'? If you have, does that option also disappear after using the rear On/Off switch? _________________ Tim |
