From your other post
Quote: | Hi all I am new to this Gps stuff and this site.
I read the thread on installing tomtom on a 175 and have managed the hack. But when trying to find the right version of tt i am getting lost.
The ppc version that goes on the card don't run, the palm version dont seem to have a setup.exe and the unknown version that has a setup.exe goes through the motions ask's me where to save the file but does not actually install tt.
Can any one point me in the right direction......

That's where you are going wrong. Contact TomTom to see if they can help. _________________ Formerly known as Lost_Property

Not a hack of the software!
The hack to get the ce taskbar on the medion, I would not know where to start on a software hack |

If you purchased them second hand then this will be your problem. Maps have to be activated and if the original owner has already done this the only option is to buy new. _________________ Formerly known as Lost_Property

This may also be of interest to you. From the TT site.
Quote: | Question
I am having trouble activating a second hand TomTom Navigator.
Answer
TomTom Navigator requires online software activation. All copies of TomTom Navigator are sold with a product code. This product code can be used to activate the software on one device. Click here to download the full version of the TomTom License agreement.
Second hand TomTom Navigator products are likely to have already been activated once or more by the first buyer and the product code may therefore no longer be valid. For this reason we advise our customers not to purchase TomTom Navigator second hand. If you have already purchased a second hand TomTom Navigator product and cannot activate the software, we suggest you return it to the seller. |
