Hi
I have a GlobalSat BT308 that used to enable TT3 & 5 on an old HP2210.
As I now have a TT GO 700, I would like to use the GlobalSat BT308 with Autoroute on my BT enabled Laptop.
Win XP and Autoroute 2006 Essentials
I can 'pair' the devices, but can't get a port allocated?
Can anyone out there help me?
Step by step please - I am not vey bright!!
Roger

What Bluetooth software are you using on the PC?

I have installed the program that came with the GPS - called GPS Information.
Hope you can help me!

I meant the Bluetooth stack. Are you using Widcomm software or the Microsoft Windows XP SP2 Bluetooth stack?

I guess it must be the stuff bundled with the XP - it is a brand new laptop with BT built in.
Is that the info you need?
Thanks for taking the trouble.

Discover the services of the GPS receiver from the laptop, connect to the SPP service, that will then automatically create a COM port. use that COM port in your programs.

Thanks Lutz - I have tried another GPS and connected fine.
Seems mine is on the blink!
Cheers and thanks for all the help.
