can anyone help
i have tried downloading speed cams and poi's to the new garmin i3, the one without card, but one just overwrites the other. I bought a transflash card and loaded every thing onto that ,but when I put it in the garmin it does not recognise it.
anyone got any ideas?
thanks
Peter

You have to unzip the speed cameras and POIs to the same folder and upload them all at once.

How did you 'load everything onto the card'?

Hi Anita
thanks for the response.
I unzipped the poi's and loaded them to a formated transflash card via a card reader.
All of the MaFt poi's show on the card, but when I put the card into the Garmin (i3 3.10 software v8 maps 2.5 audio) the unit does not seem to seeanything on the card.
Many thanks
Peter :D

I assume you are looking under Where To / Food, Hotels and More / Custom Points?

Hi
yes, but only get the speed cams and a couple of custom poi's. I downloaded these onto the internal memory

Sorry, Peter, I don't think I can help you with this one. Sad

I've got one of the old i3s, and I just connect the device to the pc, launch POILoader and it installs all the speed cameras and POIs.

Hopefully someone with a similar device to yours will be able to help. I do wish Garmin hadn't messed about with a product that was working fine. Evil or Very Mad

You need to install all you POIs in one go with POILoader via the USB cable. You can't just copy them to a TF card and slot it in.

That's why I asked "How did you 'load everything onto the card'?", and I assumed from Peter's reply "I unzipped the poi's and loaded them to a formatted transflash card via a card reader" meant he'd used POILoader and not just copied them. Re-reading it I can see that isn't necessarily so!

Reminders to self:
1. Ask more specific questions
2. Don't jump to conclusions! Rolling Eyes
