|

After updating my Nuvi 310 with the latest software (2.70), the unit no longer boots up. The message on the screen reads, 'System Software Not Found' or similar.
When plugged into the PC, the Nuvi no longer comes up as a recognizable drive and the Garmin Web Updater cannot connect to it.
After trying various things, I've now run out of options and ideas. Has anyone had a similar experience?
Thanks. |

I had a similar prob with Street Pilot 2720, but found out the the sofware has to be dowloaded on to desktop & then run in to the Garmin.
It also said to ignore Gstart if this appeared. Once run in via usb, all systems were resoted.
Maybe this will work, if you run direct from desktop and not using Garmin updater.
Worth a try!

Thanks, but I've tried this.
The trouble is the unit is not seen as a drive by the PC, therefore neither the WebUpdater or any Garmin .exe from a hard disk can execute, as it doesn't know where to go.
My PC did eventually recognize the Garmin as a USB device, and installed a driver, but still does not map it as a hard drive.
Perhaps I could try formating it through Computer Management, although I was hoping there might be a more standard way. |
