My Pin 570 resets if battery discharge!

Hi everyone, this is my first post but unfortunately it is with a problem! If I download the new speed-camera database and other poi files and then don't use my Pin 570 for a couple of weeks or so, when I try to turn it on the battery has obviously discharged. After I have recharged the battery, my Pin 570 has reset as if to factory settings. I would then have to set up my system again as if it was brand new out of the box. All the poi's and the speed-camera files would be lost so I would have to re-install! Could I save any of these files to the sd card or is this not possible?

Hi John, I'm no expert, but like with my PDA, If you let the battery go flat,you loose everything. Tryand get inthe habbit of putting it on charge once a week or whatever. I use active sync with mine, to transfer POi's to my PDA, with active sync, you can"Back up" your device, should you loose everything, simply restore the back up. I also use "sprite", this backs up your device, also you can make a "self extracting" I think its called , file, and store it on the SD card, should you loose everything, simply charge your device, click on the back up file, and it will restor everything. Usefull if you are away from home and you can't get to your PC.
