I have just purchased TomTom Navigator 5 which came on a 128MB secure Digital card. I am using it on a Mitac Mio P350 PDA and I would like to copy the TomTom onto a larger (1 GB ) SD card so I can store lots of music, photos and other Pocket PC files on the card.

Is it possible to copy TomTom files onto a another card and if so how? I dont have a card reader.

Nick

Sorry I can't answer your question - TomTom use all sorts of security measures which in an attempt to prevent piracy making it difficult for legitimate users to do many simple things.

As for not having a card reader - you really should have one. Many are less than £10 (even with P&P), so there really is no excuse for not having one - it will make your life so much easier.

You can do it as long as you make sure that you show all hidden files. But as Neil says you really need a card reader. If you try using activesync you will there until Christmas!

Dead easy....copy the complete card....I've now done it three times as I'm up to a 4gb card...no problems at all.

Which isnt possible within WM5, or card-device-new card would be a workround (in chunks).

Thanks for the advice guys.
I have now bought a card reader for £9.99 from PC World as suggested and have had no trouble in copying the card. It only took 50 seconds to write to the 1GB card and TomTom seems to be working OK.
