After coming back from a trip to central london yesterday, I was very disappointed to see the unit going crazy due to loss of signal every few seconds. Also on the way back the instructions it gave while driving were tool late ... I made various wrong turns. I dont want to have to keep watching the screen to get a sense of where I should be going - obviously.

I say this once again - my Garmin did not have these problems. There was no external antenna attached to my i3 yet it caught onto the signal VERY well (infact I cant remember is ever losing connection).

I am continuously having to compare my £100 Garmin i3 to this £500 tomtom unit and the Garmin just keeps on winning ... I cant justify spending £400 and really want to go back to Garmin - maybe a nuvi or something.

For new readers, this problem seems to be one of MANY problems incurred with these x10 units.

Yes, sorry I started assuming the readers knowledge there for a second. Yes it was in Central too.
