Just installed latest Checkpoint 5 on my Ipaq4150 running Tomtom5.21 navigator. When I get near a speed camara POI set to warn me in checkpoint, the checkpoint screen with the coloured slider "flickers" and does not stay on the screen. Any suggestions? I have left the normal POI warnings on in Tomtom. Should I disable warnings when running checkpoint?

Alan

The problem is Checkpoint is not compatible with TTN5, I stopped using Checkpoint after upgrading from TTN3.

I find it easier to download PGPSW Camera Database then set up the warnings in Change Preferences - Manage POI - Warn when near. Select each camera and set the distances as follows:- Thanks to mikealder.

Mph - 30s - 20s - 15s - 10secs warning.

70 - 1173- 782 - 587 - 391 yards
60 - 1026- 684 - 513 - 342
50 - 879 - 586 - 440 - 293
40 - 732 - 488 - 366 - 244
30 - 588 - 392 - 294 - 196
20 - 441 - 294 - 221 - 147

Personally I use the 15 second warning, Polite 1 for audible warning and Warning only if POI on route? Unticked.

Do this for each of the cameras.

Choose whichever suits your needs. I would add that there is a built in buffer for if you go 'over the top', e.g. For a 30 second warning at 70 mph you'll see it shows 1173 yards, this is actually the distance required for 80 mph, so if you are doing 80, you will have plenty of time to slow down when you hear the warning.
