|

Hi,
i have just subscribed to a years worth of safety camera information, updates etc etc. I thinkI have downloaded and installed the zip file ok . Anyway - when I go into "manage POI" to set an audible warning for the proximity of the cameras I check the check box to set the warning and press the done button. Fine - great - when I go back into manage POI they are unchecked 8O .
Can anyone shed any light on this matter?
Thank you. |

Check that the write protection switch on the memory card isn't set to lock (its the little slider on the side of the card).
Otherwise connect the unit to the PC and using Windows Explorer locate the file with an extension of .cfg it will be something like "Great_Britain_Plus-map.cfg" (it is in the map folder).
Copy it to the computer right click it select and select copy, then from the pop-up then right click the computers desktop and select paste from the pop-up.
With the file on the computers desk top, again right click it and select "Properties" from the pop-up, now look to see if the check box for read-only is set, if it is uncheck it.
Now copy the file back from the PC to the memory card, put it into the map folder, when prompted something like "Overwrite existing file" select YES.
Now try and configure the warnings and it should remember the settings - Mike |

Those instructions I gave were for the PDA version, if this is on your 510 forget it (I have just realised what your device is from another post), as a tip could you fill in your Signature it enters basic information under the post, you get at it from the "Profile" link at the top middle of this page)) - Mike |

Have a read of THIS OK it is for the Go-910 but the set-up guide is the same, its just the Text To Speach bit you won't have, it should give the right idea for POI warnings on the device though - Mike |
