Hi guys...I have just took possession of a Tom Tom One after many months of wanting it. I have been looking on the forum for a couple of days now and some of the things talked about have just blown my mind...
Can I by cheeky and ask a few questions?
1. I would like to change my splash screen to the screen saver that is on my phone.
2. How do I install the safety cameras and were from?
3. How do I know what version I am using?
Sorry for asking all of this, but I am new and a little green to technology.... |

It is possible to change the splash screen, have a look HERE
There are a number of tips within the thread such as picture size etc, you shouldn't need to read all 24 pages though, you will pick up the ida after the first few.
You need to watch the picture size, so I cannot say if the picture from your mobile will work, at the very least you will need to re-size it.

First of all you need to be a paid up subscribed member to this site, simply click the Subscribe Now link on the left of this page
Once subscribed (and payment has cleared) you can download the database in the format you require (ov2 for TomTom devices)
Have a read through THESE instructions which cover installation and configuration.

Turn the device on and tap the Sat strength meter (lower Right corner of the screen), the version number can then be seen just over halfway down the screen on the right hand side, if you then tap the version number
the deice will show you all the information about the maps etc.
Finally Welcome to the forum, the search is available as pointed out, but it helps newcomers if pointed in the general direction at first - Mike |

Kirkie,
A useful link for 'auto' formatting of pictures to change your splash screen.
http://neilstyles.com/instructions.htm.
Link to the splash screen generator is at the bottom of the page, after the instructions. |
