I have just purchased the P350 & TTN 5.201 and I can't get it to work. I get the message 'no GPS device' I am not sure what com settings to use as the Mio manual is useless & I don't have one for the TomTom.
Having searched various forums I think there may be some incompatibility with the TTN 5.201 so I tried to download 5.21. This wouldnt work as I couldn't activate the download as it appears that my device code has changed and my old code is registered with TomTom & cannot be changed.
Any ideas? Firstly for the correct settings and secondly how to load the TTN 5.21?
Thanks,
Nick |

Where did you buy the TomTom software from? simply upgrading the application should work fine negating the need to enter codes etc - Mike |

I bought the Mio & TomTom from 'h@ndtec' but I hadnt been able to get any response from them. However they have just replied with the settings for the TomTom. Also they say that I can upgrade TomTom after 14 days. I am not sure why the time period is significant.
I will see if the settings work & then I will post the outcome.

That does not sound correct the licence for TomTom allows a single activation when you get it, then a second activation on a different device 14 days later, as this is the same device there is something wrong.
I would not accept having to use an activation simply to update the software application - I would contact the supplier again - Mike |

I am pleased to say that the settings given to me worked, and I have just driven around the block to test everything out.
If anyone else needs the settings & instructions they are:
With TomTom running, bring up menu by tapping screen & select
Change preferences-more-more-more-Show GPS status
(settings)
:Other Cable NMEA
:GPS Baud rate 4800
:GPS_COM
GPS signal came up in about 4 minutes (West London)
As to the TomTom upgrade I am not too bothered about that now as everything seems to be working. I will try again in 14 days.
