problems with go500

Hi

I have a problem with my tomtom and ?I would like to kindly ask you what to do...

I have tomtom go 500 and I have recently bought maps for western europe,unfortunatellyu when I turn it on with new sd casrd in I can only see the tomtom logo and it dont works,once I managed to choose 3 options in the menyu and it froze.The sd card I had from the beginning is working properly.What do i need to do ?I also got some code but i dont know where to type it...

If you bought a new card from TomTom or one of their suppliers, it should work straight away. You don't have to type in anything.

If you are adding a map you downloaded from the TomTom site to a new card of your own, you may need to activate it, but I've never done this.
