I've just bought an ex demo from a shop for a good price of £90. I've been reading mainly negative responses to the Via Michelin software on the Ipaq. Is it really that bad? Whats the lowdown? I just need it to get myself around London? Is it that bad to use?

Hi Benw, I think its ok, Everybody seams to moan about it, but thats because nobody praises it. If ten people moan, then there must be a hundred people that don't. It may not be good as TomTom, but I am happy with mine, gets me from A to B without any problems,

It's the nature of message boards like this one that you get far more negative comments than positive ones. People generally only come here for help, which means they're having difficulties, but rareley to say "This is a wonderful product and I never have any problems with it".

Take a look at the boards for any other product you can think of (not just GPS software) and you'll see the same.

Agreed. When my ViaMichelin Sat Nav was stolen from my car I had the option of getting a TomTom as a replacement but went for ViaMichelin again.

For me the software works, is easy to use and for what I need it is very good.

We call ours Fiona because of how it says 'fffffollow the roundabout...'
