Marine maps on TomTom one?

Hi - Im new to this site but having had a quick look round and gleaned some very helpful information regarding sopeed camera databases etc I have a question. Can the Tom tom one be used as a marine GPS? you see I have a small boat (15') and am looking for a marine GPS. The thought ocurred to me that the TT one may be able to do both. Any ideas or am I expecting miracles?

Won't work I am afraid. Your Tom Tom will only take Tom Tom maps and Tom Tom only do road maps, not marine.

Go for the Mio C710 instead. It looks similar and may actually be able to run MemoryMap.

Thanks for the info. Looks like I will have to get a marine GPS. Already have the TT one so no point in changing that.
