Help - new user synch issues

I'm just trying to get my iCN520 to synch with my PC and I can't get activesync to recognise it at all - any pointers? I have ensured that whichever version of activesync was uninstalled before I loaded the SmartST desktop and the version which is included and still no luck.

How have you connected the device to the PC, if you are going through a Hub/ monitor connection point etc this could be the problem, try a direct connection between the 520 and the PC i.e. do not go through anything other than the cable to the PC - Mike

I am going directly through the USB ports on the front of my PCs case. The symptoms are exactly as per the other post I've just replied in about PC not recognising my iCN.
