Yes, unzip the downloaded file fully before attempting to import it into the POIEditor. Navigating through the zipfile won't work. _________________ Tim |

If you have Windows XP then use Windows Explorer to find the downloaded zipfile. Double click the file and you should get the option to extract all files. Make a note of where they are extracted to and use those files to import the camera database onto your Navman. _________________ Tim |

Where are you having trouble finding the zip Files? On the Website or on your PC? _________________ Richard

If you can say what vesion of Windows (XP, 2000, ME etc.) you are using, someone will be able to provide a step-by-step procedure for that OS. |

If there is still no extension on the File, add .zip to the Filename. Double Clicking the File should then Open the Zip Utility associated with Zip Files. _________________ Richard

In even more detail (I was still typing while oldboy answered, but I'm not going to waste all that research :D ...
First open up Windows Explorer or My Computer and go to the Tools Menu. Click on Folder Options and then the View tab. Look in the box and make sure "Show hidden files and folders" is selected and immediately below it "Hide extensions for known file types is NOT selected. (This step is just to make sure your file is actually called what it should be...)
Next, find the file you downloaded (in the Temp directory you say). Check it is called "pgpsw-speed-cams.zip", not "pgpsw-speed-cams" or "pgpsw-speed-cams.zip.zip". If it is wrong, right click on it and rename it correctly.
Assuming it is named correctly, it should have an icon picture that looks like a yellow folder with a zip on it.
If you double-click on it, the window should change and you get a pane on the left wit a box called "Folder Tasks" and below that "Extract all files. (If you DON'T get that window for some reason, you can right-click on on the file instead. You should get a list of optionsand "Extract all" is the fourth one down.
Whichever of those you use, you should now get a new window popping up that says "Welcome to the compressed (zipped) folders extraction wizard". Click "Next", then without changing anything in the next window, click "Next" again. It should now announce "extraction complete", check the box called "show extracted files is ticked and then click on "Finish".
It should now open a new Explorer window showing the location of the actual files, which you can copy to your Go map folder as per the instructions.
If the above doesn't work, I can only guess the download didn't work and the zip archive is corrupted. Download it again and start from scratch. |

Ignore reference to the "Go map folder" above. I meant to re-edit that bit but got side-tracked by oldboy sneaking his post in! |
