Does the TMC work well?

Are there a good number of POI's?

Is it worth the money?

In response to your questions.

The TMC works very well in London & Surrey but I believe there are some coverage issues elsewhere in the country. Mine even works without the aerial plugged in!
Also the traffic info needs to be updated more frequently as I sometimes get to a spot and find the traffic has cleared, but that's out of Mio's hands.
Hopefully this will improve with time.

POI's. I am led to believe that the Mio POI database is not as good as Garmin's but you're talking to someone here who has never navigated to a POI in his life.

Personally I think it's well worth the money compared to others out there.
