I've looked over this forum as much as I can but can't find the answer anywhere! I've just bought a Nuvi 300 with the maps and a Speedcamera POI's pre loaded on the internal memory (No SD Card was supplied)
What I'd like to know is as the speed cam's are pre loaded, if I upload a load of POI's from http://www.MaFt.co.uk/garmin/ this will automatically overwrite the poi file with the cams on it. So can I A) Have two POI files on the device or B) export the current speedcam poi's on the device back to csv so I can include them with the new POI's from the above link?? Clear as Mud?!
Perhaps an option C would be: Can you have a poi file on the device and another one on an SD card....would it use both or just one poi file?
I hope it makes sense!!
Many thanks

Hi, thanks for a quick response. However, the speed camera poi's were pre-loaded so I don't have the original csv files.
Without being able to either get hold of the original csv files from the place I bought the unit from 2 days ago, or extract the current poi file back to a csv file then I I'll lose them if I add more poi's via the uploader
Cheers

to the forum,
£2.00 and you will have the latest Camera Database for your nuvi just complete the subscription at http://www.pocketgpsworld.com/subscription.php
Now for the Garmin POILoader software be aware that the latest version has a bug that treats all poi's the same as cameras you will have alarms going off as you aproach halfords/asda/petrol stations every poi that is loaded.
Get the previous version from http://makeashorterlink.com/?C41E2306D
and the poi's will operate as intended ![Thumbs Up](modules/Forums/images/smiles/custom2.gif) |
