No, iTIS Holdings use Classic FM, Trafficmaster use a variety of other stations by two large radio station groups (GCap Media Plc and Chrysalis Group). These two groups broadcast the signal via 88 transmitters up and down the country, but I don't believe there is an exact list of which stations that are used.

Thanks Swing for your knowlegeable reply (or should I say clever clogs)

Do we take our 310D's back to Halfords and ask for our moneyback????

Or do we hope they will crack the problem. Traffic wasn't working this morning in the M6 J21 area!

The RAC Live consortium? Is that considered to be Trafficmastet ( i know thay provide the data) or is it iTIS

David

I don't know - the problem is the 310D is a good deal, and it does work in some areas, but generally it appears in the UK you really need a connection to the aerial. It would be interesting to hear what Garmin say about this...

Firstly, it's not iTIS, they are the other RDS-TMC supplier.

Trafficmaster provide the data, but the commercial service is called "RAC Live", as it is provided "in partnership with the RAC", and combines Trafficmaster's real time data with RAC's traffic incident data.
