|

Hey guys,
Really need an assist on this.
Am driving from essex with my wife, 10 mnth old son and my little Jack Russel bitch 'Tinker' to St Ives Cornwall on Friday 23rd June - and I need to get my speed cam situ sorted before I go.
I downloaded the updated Database, followed the instructions to the letter . .
But now I have not a single Camera on my CP6!
Please help me.
I am running MDA Pro with Win Mobile 5.
I really don't want to reinstall and ose all my jorneys and fave's.
I wouldn't cal myself a plebb when it comes to puters, but I guess I went wrong somehere.
Can someone please help me I need to get it sorted - My wife will start calling CP crap and effectively make the 6 hours hell if it ain't in tip top camera sniffing shape!
Many Thanks

If you have upgraded your version of CoPilot and used the new OV2 method of installing cameras, then the icons will not appear on the map.
Try driving past a camera to see if the new 'yellow box' alert works.
You might also prefer to stick with the old method of adding the cameras into 'custom' (or both methods) which will show the icons. |

Bah!
It was too good to be true!
I have the thing where:
- some cameras show - with the cutelittle black and white camera icon,
- some have the generic odd pink camera icon,
- some appear as a cluster of icons - you know the three 'layered' little squares
- and some. . well don't even to be there at all - take the classic camera under the arches on the A406 at Brent Cross - one of the most renouned sneaky placements in uk - not a bloody sausage on the map!
Can someone please help?
My settings are currently:
- Show custom - and not the safety cameras held in the transport section.
- Also how do i get the dumb robot to just say 'speed camera' or something?
This is driving me nuts please help!

If she's anything like my wife, she'll still think it a waste of money.....'boys toys' and all that ! (just because I like to use it on the very shortest of journeys...into town and suchlike.) |

1) From your desktop - delete all existing safety cameras otherwise you will have loads of duplicates
2) Once you do this, save a copy of your ao* files - its quicker to use this empty file than to delete using the desktop app
3) load up your safety cameras using the old style method but do not load them into Custom - load them into the Safety Cameras section (Custom doesn't work that well in CP6)
4) Copy the ao* files across to your PDA
If you do that you should be up and running for Friday. You CAN change the spoken messages but for now just get the thing working. _________________ --Ken

Another thought - are you running the latest version of CP6 on both PDA and desktop? This is very important as the format of the POI files has changed _________________ --Ken
