|
|
Despite searching previous topics, I can't find the details of the speeds used for the various roads when the 700 is determining fastest routeing.
However, if you enter a route and then preview it, as the cursor follows the route, there are speeds shown at the bottom of the screen. These show the imaginary vehicle driving along roads, slowing down for corners and roundabouts etc, then speeding up to a variety of steady speeds. Are these the speeds used for "fastest route" calculation, or just arbitrary figures for the route demo?

those are just demo speeds. The speed limit (range) for the streets are not exposed to the end user. _________________ Lutz

The sppeds are exposed on my TT910. It displays the road speed in the bottom right hand corner just after my actual speed. It all goes red when I exceed the speed limit too.

I haven't tried the National Single Carriageway (60mph) speed calculation. _________________ Richard
