Hi
I wonder if any of you clever chaps out there can help. As it turns out its not specifically a TomTom problem, but I first noticed it when trying to connect my 700 to the pc. Went to plug to 700 into the USB port and my PC just totaly locked up, not even the 3 fingered salute would sort it. Initially I thought it was the TomTom at fault, but its screen showed it was connected. I disconnected the GPS, and it started up and worked ok, so then tried it again on the PC after restarting that. Same thing happened. So I tried another USB device in the same socket, a webcam, and it worked ok. Then I tried a USB memory stick, the PC locked-up again same as with the GPS. So to me it seems that my PC has a sudden dislike to USB mass storage devices. Any ideas what might be wrong, I need to update my speed cams. Running Win XP Home if thats ant help.

Try deleting the device in device manager so it gets found and added again on reboot.
