Comparison Co-pilot vs Pioneer Avic D1 -Kinda

A bit off topic but non the less interesting information. Following along with the current Co-Pilot 6 routing issue, text to speech, current maps and just strange things that happen when using the program. I thought I would let you all know that I have purchased a 800.00 dollar indash Pioneer GPS for one of my cars. It as well does strange routes once in a while, the current 2006 GPS map update that just cost me 250.00 bux from teleatlas is infact only an update through april 2005! while a new portion of a new freeway is in in Arizona the other portion is non-existing, some other new neighborhoods that some streets I would of expected are not in the update. It does do things better than Co-Pilot in alot of ways, but compared to the advanced routing options Co-Pilot has non of that is available in this unit and its either fast or short for routing options. And still I can find a better way of doing things than the program. So for what its worth, while Co-Pilot has its issues, its not the only one and even the big name indash GPS for autos have some of the exact same strange things - so for the price of the CP GPS, its not a bad deal!
