I download the camera updates but cannot find a legend which indicates which icon in the OV2 database refers to which type of speed camera. Can you advise where this is posted? |

I'm presuming that by 'legend' you mean the Icon that you see displayed on the Screen.
This is a BMP File and for every OV2 File there will be a same-name BMP File.
Both types of File will need to be Copied to the Device to work.
You don't state which Download you used,;) so I can't be more specific. _________________ Richard

Thank you Richard,
Perhaps I used the wrong phrase. When a camera is shown on the TTG screen a symbol indicating the type of camera is shown. I have tried to find a source which indicates which type of camera each symbol indicates ie Specs, mobile etc.

I have not actually seen a list like you request; however, all you have to do is view the BMP files for each camera type.
Depending upon which version of the database you are using (split by type, type and speed limit etc) the icon may also incorporate the speed limit.
You will probably find that the Gatsos and temporary cameras icons are like the warning road sign you sometimes see, the mobiles are similar - but with the camera on legs, the specs are like the roadside sign - except with a yellow backgound, and that traffic lights are self explanatory. |

Many thanks Richard, It was the specs I really wondered about (as I havn't seen a road sign showing them) and the different types "on legs" that I seem to have but I will view the bmp files.
best wishes

Road signs don't differentiate between cameras, however, there may be an indication of type on an additional plate below.
PS last time I checked, my name was still Neil. |
