621 seems to be the one that you can download from the PLUS site. The new x10 devices come with 650 _________________ Lutz

So, the new x10 devices have newer maps than are available for the Navigator? |

After spending much time researching which Sat Nav to buy, we decided to buy the cheaper TT One and download the USA maps rather than the TT910 which we didn't like due to size, cost and we only wanted a Sat Nav. Garmin Nuvi was the first choice but at £200+ for USA maps was too expensive. Currently waiting for delivery.
Anyway from this thread it looks like my thought that we would at least have the latest maps if we downloaded as required is wrong. Business trip in a weeks time to West Coast USA, should I cancel my TT One order if the maps are going to be out of date? |

you can't decide against the 910 and then complain that the other maps are not as up to date...
Anyhow, the difference in the maps is not that dramatic. You may miss a street or two, but generally you will find your way. Just add some more slack time when you drive to an appointment. _________________ Lutz

Hi,
I wasn't really complaining. The TT One for what we need looks better value for money. It was just that we assumed that the latest map versions would always be on the download site – hence some level of disappointment.
When you download a map from TT+, is the software versioned according to the model? If it is, you would expect the new x10's to have the latest version being the newest models with subsequent upgrades for older models such as the TT One coming later.
I am sure this has been asked many times before, but is there anyway of checking a map version on the TT site before you download it? (I have tried searching)
Thanks |

The TomTom website does not list the the version number of the maps available for purchase. |
