Evening all,
I'll apolagise in advance because I know this question has been asked before but I did search and couldn't find the answer.
I'm going to frace in a few weeks so I thought I'd get a map when a friend of mine said he had all the maps for his tomtom on his phone so he lent me a disk (a copy) with a lot of plus(?) maps on it.
Can I get them to work on my go300 because the files in the map folders don't look the same. He has MMS files and I don't please help before I go and screw it all it up.
If his maps will work how do I put them on - is it just drag and drop
Thanks

It's not that easy. First of all you need a valid product code. Then you copy the required map folder to the root of the storage card (use a card reader). And then when you want to use the map go to www.ttcode.com to create an activation code for that map from the product code and device ID that will be shown to you. _________________ Lutz

Yes it should work just drag and drop the plus map folder onto the root of the SD Card, Then on the TomTom select switch map and you should be able to choose between the maps. Although you may have to activate the maps if this is the case delete the plus folder off the SD Card and buy the maps you want from www.tomtom.com |

Let us know if you get it to work. The maps are definitely worth the money if you end up having to buy them on your own. |
