Looking at the maps download page at:
http://www.tomtom.com/plus/services/mds.php
and clicking on the map coverage of "Maps of Western Europe" at the end of the page, it seems to cover Ireland and the Athens area in Greece. Do the maps actually cover these areas or is the detailed coverage maps inaccurate?
On a different topic, I have TT Nav 3.07 but it doesn't work very well on my HTC Blue Angel - a lot of the time it's unsuable. I'm thinking of upgrading to v5 but there is no upgrade path at the moment. I was hoping I could download the program from here:
http://www.tomtom.com/support/index.php?FID=3361&Language=1
and then buy the European maps but they require you to already own one map already which is annoying. I suppose I will just have to suffer with v3. |

I may be wrong with this, but I believe the current uk maps with TT5 provide reasonable coberage of Belfast and Dublin, and then very poor after that. One of the major map suppliers (maybe teleatlas, can't remember who) has recently mapped Ireland so I guess the next release of a UK map from TomTom may include a more detailed map? I have both the Great Britain map (V605) and the Great Britain Plus map (V571).
The V605 map had much more detailed coverage of the area I was visiting, showing roads that do no exist on V571. Hope this helps. |

It was not Teleatlas, I believe Naqvteq have just completed the mapping of Ireland. _________________ -------------------------------------------------------

The UK map includes good coverage of Belfast, and poor coverage of the rest of R.Ireland. No coverage whatsoever of the Rupublic.
On the UK plus map there is coverage of ROI but it is 'major roads' only, including Dublin. |
