Ive had a problem with my i3 suction mount dropping off the screen. Usually due to me rushing to get going in the mornings. I was worried it would then fall off the dashboard and on to the floor or pedals ! eeeeek.
Easy remedy for it was a strip of velcro under the i3 and a small piece on the dash. Surprising how little is needed to save the little blighter and hold it in position till I can stop and refit the suction cup properly.

This might have been covered here before but thought I'd mention it.

Try wetting the back of the suction mount before attaching to the windscreen, ie: spit on it.
