speed cameras and pois in France ??

Hi all,

Am off to France in a couple of days and was hoping someone could tell me if there is a SPEED CAMERA DB I can put onto my i3 and/or a list of POI's in France (Im only going to Calais). This would be tremendously helpful !!

In the column to your left, scroll up/down and look for Camera Database

But to me it looks like the france speed cameras are already included in the monthly speed camera updates by pocketgpsworld ?? so does that mean nothing needs to be done once the database has been updated ?

ok it seems the continental cameras are included someone with the speed camera db but I cant find it. Which speed camera file do I need to download to include continental cameras ?

also, are the continental cameras db good for most of france ?

ah great ... the gpx file.

Now I need to load it onto the i3 via ash10's camera updater ... any ideas ?

For French and European POI's go to www.poihandler.com. where you can join up and download speed cams for a small fee and plenty of other POI's for free. [/url]

ok ive managed to use ash10's camera loader to generate gpx files then add in pocketgps_uk_sc.gpx into the same folder and load it onto the sat nav. does this now include cameras for europe ?

Nudda. poihendler is only 12 euros or about £8.30. Not to bad

Hi Nudda

If your only going to Calais, I've never seen or been notified of any cameras in the immediate area. However, if you decide to take the scenic route to Auchan or Cite de Europe, watch out for mobile radar traps in Coquelles (N1) and Sangatte (D940). i've seen them there on several occasions.
