Garmin nuvi 300

I have just joined, have downloaded the poi loader and the speed camera download, and have sent both to my Garmin, but it still does not work why?

What do you mean by sent? Download the POI Loader program from the Garmin Website. Extract the content of the speedcamera database "pocketgps_uk_sc.gpx" and upload it using POI loader.

I have followed instructions, successfully I think, to download camera POI to my Garmin NUVI but do not know how to get it to warn me when I approach a camera. I have set the POI settings on the Nuvi but i never get any warning.

Anyone got any idea what I am doing wrong? Is there any way I can check on my Nuvi that the POIs are installed?

No I still haven't got mine working, i thought I have loaded it onto the NUVI, but nothing !!
How do you upload? what I have done is that I have downloaded the POI loader and the camera warning onto my computer, plugged the garmin in and then right clicked and sent both to Garmin, is that right? or am I worse than a beginner!!

you need to open up the POI loader then browse the directory where you downloaded the speed cam database and the POI loader does the rest

Many thanks, I have done just as you said over the weekend.
I am now going out in search of the first camera !!!!
lets see if it does work.
