Getting used to my unit now - had first speed camera bong alert - wonderful!

Comments
1. when i use the unit powered by internal battery, it is a shame that the power lead is integrated into the mounting/suction cup - looks untidy - i think i3 is better in that respect -you can unplug the lead from the unit which i prefer and you lose the lead/clutter when not needed.

2. as I remove the suction cup, each time I have finished (i prefer not to tempt people!) I find it a bit fiddly to get the mounting adjusted back to exactly the same position that it was previously in

3. I know a lot has been said about adding poi's & speed cameras to the sd card and how difficlut/impossible it is. I noticed that the sd card has a little white switch/tag that can be slid back and forth. I assume this is some kind of lock on the card. Is it as simple as sliding the switch "to store data" and then sliding it back again "to lock the card" . If not , what is the switch for???

The SD card is only for storing the maps.Slide the switch to bottom of card to lock.
All pois are stored in memory.

so does that mean if the switch is in the wrong position it is possible to accidentally erase the maps?

You would be better using a card reader to copy/paste your map card to your computer for a backup
