|
|
Guys ive just bought a 1gig sd card and i want to copy my original card onto it and therefore have lots of space for europe maps.
My question is do i format the card using a card reader/writer then take a back up on my original card and then upload the backup onto my new 1 gig card? Any issues i need to worry about.
Thanks

The card is probably pre-formatted so I wouldn't worry too much about this.
Use a card reader to copy the entire contents of the original card to the PC hard drive, make sure you have the "show hidden files" attribute box checked in Windows Explorer, hit the tools button then folder options, and select the View tab "Hidden files and Folders" is in the list.
Copy the whole lot to the PC, swap out the cards and copy the same data to the new card, maintain the file structure on the memory card and you will be fine - Mike |
