Hi Everyone, When I use my sat nav, the verbal instructions are sometimes a bit late. If I'm say on the motorway, It will say, "In 100 yards, take the next exit on the left", which is fine, then, I get to a rounderbout, and as I stop at the give way lines, It says, " Go straight on, take the 3rd exit", which is a bit late, when you have stopped in the 1st lane to turn left. Then, If you can get across safely, as you take the 3rd exit, it says, "leave at the next exit", I already am, The instructions need to be about 5 to 10 seconds earlier, Is it my speed settings, this is what I use.
Motorways 80 MPH
Major Roads 70 MPH
Other Main Roads 60 MPH
Local Roads 50 MPH
Streets 30 MPH
Small Streets 25 MPH
If is is the speed settings, what do I need to change them to. Thanks in advance for any help. _________________ Audi A3 Sline sat nav

One thing that can cause this is if you have POI's showing on screen, this can slow down the refresh rate and it appears you are some distance behind your actual position.
Turn off all POI's and see if there is an improvement.
I recently changed over to a high speed SD Card and notice a difference e.g. As I pass a turning the indicator on screen is exact and I get voice warnings before a turn where previously, like you, I was at the turn. _________________ Formerly known as Lost_Property

Thanks for the reply Lost, I'm not sure how fast the Lexus card is, and the only POi's I have displayed are the Speed Camera Database. I will try turning the speed cams off to see if it makes a difference, but I don't fancy driving around without it on all the time, so I may have to get a faster card, or put up with it. _________________ Audi A3 Sline sat nav

Maybe a slight misunderstanding tanda. I should have made myself clearer.
Turn the POI's off, the ones which show on screen when you are just browsing the map, but keep the Safety Camera Warnings settings on. The icons will still pop-up when approaching a camera.
Standard Cards read/write about 4x where the Kingston Ultimate x133 reads/writes around 20x. _________________ Formerly known as Lost_Property
