Hi all.

So far so good with my 910. No mount issues, only one navigational error (tried to tell me a dead-end dirt track was the way to go in a 45 footer) and the only main gripe being the oft mentioned 'switches off when the power lead is disconnected' but that's just a minor niggle.

However, I do have a question for those in the know. I have my phone setup with th 910. I can call handsfree, have my text messages read to me while driving and I've not experienced the '..too many characters' bug yet. Luckily the senders only tend to send 10 words or so. [hopeful]Might be covered in a patch yet anyway [/hopeful]. When the phone rings, my phone speaker rings and the call comes through the car speakers until I answer it and then it switches back to the TomTom speaker. I'm sure I've fiddled with all the speaker settings, but can't seem to get the conversation to come through the car/truck speakers. Is the unit actually capable of this, or am I trying to get it to do something it wasn't designed for?

Apparently TomTom are working on a firmware update for this problem.

Cheers for that. So is it a known issue of the phone conversation only coming through the TT speakers?

I think they may have a patch available, but not ready for mass distribution yet. On this board (got the link from another thread here) http://www.gpspassion.com/forumsen/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=50344&whichpage=1 (There's a lot of tech speak, so when I got a headache I left) someone in the US mentions they've had problems getting a lock with the GPS. He/She contacted TomTom and they sent a patch to fix the problem, saying it wasn't ready for going on the website yet. Maybe they're still adding finishing touches to it?
