I have seen that you can move TT5 to the card along with the maps.
Can the same be done with TT3, I spend time away without a laptop and sometimes lose everything on the PDA due to batt running flat. my files are stored on CF so I don't lose data, but I end up losing TT and have to wait till I can access a computer to re-install.
If it runs from the CF card do I just remake the shortcut on the today screen to get running,
will I need to carry my license software key to re-install
Thanks

there was a post on here ages ago that had the .cab files from TT3 which you could store on your mem card for re-installation in the event of a crash. if you have a search you may be able to find it. you should be able to copy the .cab files from your TT3 CD. |

Hi dvh
Leave Tomtom where it is and install either Sprite Premier Backup or Backup Manager. They are both programmes that enable one to backup all programmes and settings on ones PDA.
After a flat battery or hard reset you can be back on the road in minutes. If you go to their web sites you will be able to read all the information on the two products. I have only tried Sprite Premier (its great) but other people have told me that Backup Manager is just as good.
Go on line and have a look, you won't be disapointed. _________________ Tomtom Go 720.
