New to Garmin c340

Help please - I just bought street pilot c340. The text to speech (e.g. pronouncing street name) seems to work erraticly. For example, when I change the language or voice, it seems to not working. Does any one experience any type of text to speech problem w/ c340?

I apologize for the question on this forum. If this is a wrong forum, please, please refer me to the correct one. I am so disappointed with this unit and is thinking of returning it. Much appreciate your expert advices.
