A780 and CoPilot

So which speed camera download do I need, the site offers me CoPilot 5 or 6 but I don't think this is what I need for the phone version which is 1.0.0.67
The previous installation was from the direct download on the ALK site but this is a Nov 05 version of the database.
Anyone else use an A780 motorola? Question

But a question for you
I followed the instructions but it doesent seem to work, I have driven passed my fav speed camera a few times and nothing (the camera has been there for years

Soooo how are yoiu getting on with it ??

Yes I found it didn't work initially. Have a look in the bit where you activate the POIs and move the slider bar at the bottom so that it includes POI (in this case the speed cameras) from a wider radius. Then save and see if that works. If not PM me and I will go through exactly how my phone is set up.

Anyone know about the data file to download please?

On the issue of not being notifed of camears mine works in guidance mode but not navigate mode. Will need to check the settings. Wonder which mode divinecactus is using?

Hi have downloaded and unzipped version 5. In that folder is and excel csv file. However the original download from the ALK site contains the following, aocattp aoPoi aoPoi.fts aoPoi.gdx aoPoi.nms aoPoi.tdx aotyp november 2005 Can't see an excel to replace so not going any further. Will continue to explore - in meantime if anyone can throw any light on what is required for the A780 I'd appreciate a post here. Many thanks.

the answer seems to be that you have to import through your pc desktop rather than direct to the phone. try using the link below. long winded compared to nov 05 update but it does work.

Thanks, origial speed camera download was via pc as well. The issue is that there are no csv or os2 files to replace therefore I'm not convinced that thiese are what is needed. Only POI files are as i an earlier post. Thanks

Sorry it took so long to get back to you
I was using it in guidance and like I said no spoken warnings
now the bad news Crying or Very sad

after posting on the board last weekend the following morning I lost sound altogether
The phone sounds were there but not a word from co pilot not even a welcome ............................I sent back the phone and got a replacement today, but all the time I have been wondering if it was something I did when I copied and pasted the files onto the card. Embarassed

I, m now terrified to do it again (the download was from alk)or do you think it was the phone operating system?
What do you experts think? I really would appreciate some help Confused

Have left mine with the November 2005 database which was part of the download from ALK site. I'm not sure that the files on this site are what is required to update this system. At least its working if a little out of date.
