Can other POIs be use with Navman SmartST V3

Can the other POIs mentioned here by used with NavMan's SmartST V£, or only with TomTom?

They can be used. Search for POIConverter and you will be able to convert from .ov2 to . TomTom .asc files. You can then import these into your Navman.

Thanks for that very fast response. I'm not quite clear from what you wrote which format SmartST V3 uses and which is the format used by TomTom? Can you please clarify?
