Garmin i3 lag issues/problems

hello guys since upgrading my i3 maps and firmware..i have been having lagging problems it takes 5-7 seconds for my i3 to keep up to pace with the road i turn in to.. and yesterday i was doing 70 on a a road it froze for the first time ever.. any solutions, i have tried reseting but it doest reset everything i still have the cameras i installed.. is their anyway i can reseat everything or take of the camera data which i think may be the cause.. because of having too much data such as the gpx files which are relatively big in size...

I had exactly the same issue. My I3 came with version 2.7, whcih worked fine. I then loaded in loads of POI's and a camera database. and then Upgraded all the firmware on the unit to 2.9 .

I too, thought that it was a matter of too many POI's on the unit.

But..........I was mistaken.

I read back in the forums and there seems to be many people with this issue and it comes down to the firmware version. I have since rolled mine back to version 2.7 and the screen updates as it should do.
