TomTom GPS Driver 2.08 A question

Hi, I am new to GPS and I have tried to find somewhere that canexplain what the various Icons and information displays in the GPS driver by Tom Tom mean and how I might use them. I have looked all over but can't seem to find the answers-can someone point me in the right direction?

There's not much you can actually select

on the "GPS" tab the top dropdown is the receiver or generic protocol type (choose "NMEA 0183v2 4800" if you are unsure), the dropdown below it is the port where your GPS receiver can be found. Serial receivers are mostly COM1, CF receivers mostly COM5 and BT receivers mostly COM8

The left slider is for the power mode - in the left position the Pocket PC is allowed to switch off as assigned in the Power properties, in the right position TomTom will artificially keep the Pocket PC alive - careful, this may drain your battery!

The right slider switched sound output on and off. You can achieve the same thing by pressing the action button while in navigator mode.

The log tab allows you to record and playback GPS tracks. You can specify where you want the log files to be stored.

That's about it, isn't it?
