The connection between my Ipaq 4150 and TomTom 3 GPS Receiver has become faulty, Does anyone have a coloured wired diagram for repair.

Thanks

Where exactly is it broken? At the iPAQ connector or at the GPS receiver end?

Probably the best thing to do is either buy a new cable or upgrade to a TomTom car kit. There's a fair chance that the problem is the connector itself being worn.

HandNav have some of the cables listed - but not the one I presume you want (the iPAQ 3600 and 3700 series use a different connector to later iPAQs), and they're 30 pounds.

With the warning that different people's cables may follow different colour codes - well done!

Hi folks,

i too am in the position of having to rewire my wired gps (original tomtom leadtek 9533).

with the pinout assignments, do i actaully need to attach a piece of cable to the braid and slot in to rj11 plug as ground or is it unused ???????

also, must i use a 4position4connector (4p4c) rj11 plug or will 6p4c or 8p4c suffice, advise anyone ??

much appreciated in advance.
