Have added the RSS feed as a live bookmark in FireFox but it keeps telling me that it's failed to load... I thought RSS feeds had to be xml and not php?

Works fine in Feedreader (PC) and Egress (PPC). Not yet tried a Firefox plugin reader. |

i'm not using an rss plugin for firefox, just the standard 'live' bookmarks. all other rss feeds work fine but are .xml files... |

Microsoft's Internet Explorer Version 7 has a built in RSS feed reader. Automatically detects them when you go to a web page with RSS, but fails to find any on Pocketgpsworld.com _________________ Graham.

as does firefox.
one site that works particularly well with feeds in firefox os the register. http://www.theregister.com/
if there are multiple feeds then you get to choose which one. sample code is as below:
Code: | (link rel="alternate" type="application/rss+xml" href="/excerpts.rss"
title="The Register: site-wide RSS" /)
(link rel="alternate" type="application/rss+xml" href="/software/excerpts.rss"
title="The Register: Software section RSS" /) |
(had to replace angled brackets to normal brackets due to limitations with posting html!)
code like this basically gives you an option on that page of which specific feed you want.
maybe something to look into?
