Problems with TomTom 5 and Bluetooth

Hi all
Have an Ipaq 550 with TomTom 5 installed
Managed to Kill the Original TomTom Bluetooth receiver
so i replace it with a SIRF 3 Bluetooth one from Ebay
The one with a small Solar panel on the top
Can anyone tell me how to set it up and especially the connection settings
i have tried Bluetooth type connections but nothing works

I can pair the GPS with the IPAQ without problem

Also what can i do if i have lost the Product code for the TomTom Software
moved house since i purchased it and the Packing is lost somewhere

any help from anyone ??
