Since I got my iCN520 I have never been able to view 3D maps. I can't even see any options for this under preferences etc. Anyone able to help?

Normally, when you plot a route the screen starts off in 3D. Do you usually see 'Heading up' or 'North up' on your screen? If it is 'North up' then you are not in 3D mode; if 'Heading up' then you are.

It could be that your iCN is set to 'flatten' the map, which means that even if you're in 3D, it looks like 2D. To check this, plot a route and wait for it to appear, then drag down on the screen. Do clouds appear at the top of the screen? If so, you are in 3D.
