They are already out of date, and will only be updated if you subscribe to them on TomTom Plus,

There are other much better much more uptodate options, use the ones from this site for best results

If you load the PocketGPS camera DB and compare it with the TomTom Camera DB you will see how many camera's are missing from the TomTom offering.

If I load the camera database from here do I need to delete the ones that came loaded onto the 510?

Yes it would be best, otherwise if you have both activated you will get double alerts,

Also to many POIs and it slows down really badly, just set it to warn when near POI and not display POI, otherwise it will start to lag!

Thanks, that's what I thought. And I do have cameras set to just warn when near.

Hi Pat,

The beauty of using the Pocket GPS camera database is that not only is it more accurate than the TomTom "effort", but once you have it on your 910 you can then add your own text for each camera file using the "warn when near" and "add text" features.

Sorry Pat,

Just noticed you've got the 510 and not the 910, hence no 'text to speech' DOH!!.

Yes, no text to speech. First SavNav and I thought that the 510 would do for now. If I get a desperate urge for TTS I'll get a 910, or something similar.

But I have just downloaded the PocketGPS camera database, having concluded from comments here that it is one of the best.

All in all I'm pretty impressed with the world of SatNav so far, and of course with the vast range of experience here.
