Hi, I'm trying to load POI's for the first time. I've downloaded the Garmin POI loader from the Garmin website and also downloaded the Garmin Speed Camera file from the Pocket GPSWorld website.

However, when I connect the i3 unit to the USB port it powers up but nothing else happens. I've found the file that opens the Garmin POI loader page but there's no "NEXT" box at the bottom of the page to select in order to proceed.

Please Help!!!

Polybear.

I had this problem for a while and found it was because I was connecting it via a 4 into 1 USB port thingy.

As soon as I connected it directly into my USB port it worked fine.

Are you connecting straight to your USB port?

Nick

Thanks for the replies. I've loaded the USB Drivers from the CD supplied with the i3. I'm also connecting straight to the PC USB port also.

HERE'S AN UPDATE TO MY PROBLEM: I SENT AN EMAIL TO GARMIN - THEY SENT ME A VERY DETAILED SET OF INSTRUCTIONS ON HOW TO DO IT, WHICH INCLUDED DOWNLOADING A COMPRESSION/DECOMPRESSION UTILITY CALLED WINACE FROM THE INTERNET. ALL DEAD EASY, AND IF YOU COMBINE THE SPEED CAMERA POINTS OF INTEREST WITH THE "ORDINARY" POI'S (ARGOS ETC.) IN A SINGLE FILE THEN YOU CAN LOAD THE LOT TOGETHER. YOU CAN'T DO IT SEPARATELY (UNLESS SOMEONE KNOWS BETTER!) BECAUSE ONE SET OF POI'S WILL OVERWRITE THE OTHER.

IF ANYONE WANTS A COPY OF THE EMAIL THEN SEND ME A PRIVATE MESSAGE AND I'LL COPY IT TO YOU.
