is it possible to use the tomtom 700 as a a warning for speed cameras without having to set it up as a route finder for a destination point |

Hi Trammer and welcome
Yes. The 'Warn When Near' setting can alert to POI's that are NOT on a Route, but are in the vicinity. _________________ Richard

I find that no matter how many times I have used the 700, I always have something new to learn.

Thanks for all your replies, I have now got the tomtom working properly, there was a fault with it and have since had a replacement. |

Out of curiosity, did you have to call customer service to have the 700 replaced?
I'd be curious to hear about your experience. |

It can come in handy, as i went to Aberdeen and knew where we where going but did not know where the speed camera's were. _________________ Regards

thanks for the replies. I got an immediate replacement from my local Currys. I had originally purchased it from Dixons at the Eurotunnel terminal I also took out their extra cover so one call to them advising i had a fault and was sent to the local shop and replaced. have now updated it with cameras etc and it is working very well once again thanks trammer |
