|

I have a TomTom ONE and am ok with saving my own POI's when I'm out and about on the road.
I was wondering if there is any way to use a saved POI in Google Earth? It would be good if you found somewhere interesting to be able to come back and look at the same spot from above on Google Earth.
I have a card reader for my PC, so theres no problem with getting the relevant ov2 file onto the computer, but I see that Google Earth doesn't support ov2 files.
Anybody got any ideas if this is possible?

You can convert the OV2 file to a Text file with DumpOV2.exe _________________ Richard

OK I have downloaded DumpOV2.exe from the TomTom website.
1 - How do you use it?
and
2 - How do you then use the resulting text file in Google Earth?
I'm not too technical as you may have guessed!

In Windows Explorer, you drag the ov2 File to Dumpov2. This will flash into a DOS window and will produce a .asc File. The ov2 and Dumpov2 Files need to be in the same Folder.
The asc File gives a list of the Lat/Long figures that you can input into GE. I've never tried putting a batch of them in. _________________ Richard
