Hi

I have tried to install the cameras database (all three options). When the files are loaded on to the card and the device reboots I get an error message showing 'No GPS device'.

If I remove the files the TomTom works ok.

What am I doing wrong!!!!!

Rory

How are you loading them on the Card?

What are you actually Loading on to the card, and where are you putting it?

This will help us to give you a better answer.;)

Thanks for the reply.

I have copied the OV2 and BMP files supplied in the zip file. I have copied the files and pasted them into great_britain-map folder on the card.

I have used the standard 128mb card as well as a 256mb card. Both work fine without the OV2 and BMP files.

Are you sure about the message? Does it say No Valid GPS Signal?

I can't see why adding a .ov2 and .bmp Files should stop the software running, as they are just data files that the software can read.

Does it do it if you only load one .ov2 File?

Another suggestion is to Upgrade to 5.420 or 5.440 and see if this makes a difference.

When I had this it was insufficient space on my SD card, but it was also necessary to do a reset to recover.

You could try what I did, this worked for me, might just have been a coincidence but .....

...using the 256 Mb card i think you said you had, select 'factory reset' or similar.

Then reboot.

Then check the time is OK (Mine was out by 12 hours aftera crash and that may also have caused the problem)

If you need to reset the time, do so, then reset the TT and check its the proper time afterwards.

Hopefully that will fix it.
